Use and effect
The essential oils of peppermint have antiseptic, antibacterial and antifungal effects (against yeasts and moulds). A tea made from peppermint leaves has antispasmodic and appetite-stimulating effects and is an effective remedy for treating nausea, nausea or acute vomiting. Antispasmodic peppermint tea also helps very quickly with flatulence, abdominal cramps or foul-smelling stools. In addition, the tea promotes the flow and production of bile. The antiseptic effect helps against inflammation of the oral mucosa. Peppermint oil is used in some body care products because of its skin-cooling, circulation-enhancing and refreshing effect. It can also be applied externally to help with joint pain and tension headaches.
