Origin, effect and extraction
Shea butter is extracted from the fruits of the shea tree, which grows exclusively in the "Shea belt" West Africa, a 300-kilometre-long area between Uganda and Senegal.
Native shea butter is very nourishing and intensively moisturises the skin. It has soothing properties and is very well tolerated, so it can also be used for skin conditions such as neurodermatitis or psoriasis.
To obtain shea butter from the fruits of the shea tree, the fruits are crushed in a mortar and the pulp is kneaded with the addition of water until the fat settles and can be skimmed off.

Shea butter is an effective and natural supplement for nail care.
Thanks to the care from the shea fruit, dry and brittle hair shines in new splendour, rough lips become soft and supple again. Shea butter face cream is also used in anti-ageing cosmetics because it is effective against dryness wrinkles. When shea butter is dissolved in bath water, the nourishing ingredients have a particularly intensive effect, as the pores open up due to the warmth.
