Camomile in cosmetics

Chamomile extract is a proven active ingredient in cosmetics, especially for external use. It has a calming effect and is particularly skin-friendly, which helps stressed and irritated skin to look more even and velvety. Body oils with camomile make the skin particularly supple, while camomile tea in steam baths has an anti-inflammatory and soothing effect.

Bisabolol and matricin are the two main active ingredients of the essential oils of camomile and are characterised by their nurturing and antiseptic properties. Bisabolol promotes the rapid healing of inflammations and regenerates cells, which can lead to the rapid healing of open wounds.

Due to its anti-inflammatory and soothing properties, chamomile is also popular for sensitive skin prone to rashes and allergies. The antibacterial properties of the oils can also help disinfect burns.

Camomile in hair care

A hair treatment with chamomile tea may seem unusual at first glance, but it can achieve amazing results in several ways. Chamomile can restore a soft feel and a shimmering shine to damaged hair. For blonde hair, a chamomile tea treatment can have a brightening effect and thus serve as a natural alternative to conventional dyes and tints. In addition, chamomile has a soothing effect on the scalp and can relieve dry and irritated areas.
